We Believe

We believe that:
  • All Scripture is given by inspiration of God. It is inerrant, infallible and preserved in the English language as the King James Bible. The King James Bible is our sole authority of faith and practice.  Psalm 12:6-7,  II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:19-21
  • One God (as revealed in Scripture) eternally exists in three coequal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Deut. 6:4, Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14, I John 5:7
  • Jesus Christ has eternally existed. At His incarnation He was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:23, John 1:1-3, John 1:14, John 14:9, I Timothy 3:16
  • Man was created in the image of God; man sinned; and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death (eternal separation from God).  Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:21-28, Romans 5:12, Romans 6:23, Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 21:8
  • Christ died for the sins of the whole world as a substitutionary sacrifice. All who put their trust in Him are justified by His shed blood and given eternal life. John 3:16, John 11:25, Romans 5:8-9, Hebrews 9:12, Hebrews 9:28, I John 2:2, I John 1:7
  • The crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and is our Intercessor. Matthew 28:6, John 20:27, I Corinthians 15:3-4, Hebrews 7:25
  • The personal, pre-tribulational, premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ is imminent. I Thessalonians 4:13-5:9
  • All who repent of their sin toward God and receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior, are given eternal life, born again of the Holy Spirit, become the children of God, and cannot lose their salvation. John 1:12, John 3:3-5, John 3:16, John 5:24, John 20:31, Romans 10:9-13, Acts 16:31
  • Salvation is obtained by grace through faith. No work by man, whether baptism or any other religious work, adds or aids in securing favor with God for salvation. Romans 4:5, Ephesians 2:8-9
  • Immersion is the only Scriptural mode of baptism and is administered only to believers after salvation. Acts 8:36-38; Matthew 28:19, 20
  • The Child of God, though eternally secure, is commanded by God to strive for personal holiness through obedience to God’s Word. Titus 2:11-12, I Peter 1:14-16
  • The main task of the local New Testament church is to preach the Gospel to every creature. Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:1
